The Homeplace

I'm from Pritchards Mill.
It's a small town you won't find on any map.
Up the Middle Fork a ways, near where Laurel Run comes in.

Forty minutes from Elkins if the road's clear.
Longer in winter.

We're in the National Radio Quiet Zone out here.
No cell service, and there won't be any.
The internet comes in slow and goes out whenever it feels like it.
That's why I don't update as often as I mean to.

Post office closed years back.
Mail comes out on the rural route now out of Mabie.
If you need to reach me, e-mail is best, and be patient about it.

Beautiful, quiet, good people.
Wouldn't live anywhere else.
