About Me

My name is Gerry, I'm a retired West Virginia boy, born and raised, and no plans to be anything else.

I did a stint in the Navy out of high school.
Radioman, mostly shore duty.
Don't regret it.

After that I did manual labor.
Drove a truck, ran a floor crew, did service and contract work for an outfit out of Elkins.
Did that for about eleven years before my back gave out.
Nothing glamorous, but it paid for the house.

I'm married.... today anyway.

Got a smattering of old man hobbies.
Tomatoes I fuss over more than they deserve, if the deer don't eat them.
Some shortwave radio listening.
Been digging into the family tree the last few years, which is how I got to know every broken microfilm reader between here and Morgantown.

Good dog.
Quiet place in the country.
Can't ask for much more than that.
